The Paris Olympic Games will be shown on the big screen in Coleraine Town Hall for 2 days in July

In honor of Hannah Scott from Coleraine rowing for Team GB at the Olympic Games in Paris, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council bring live Olympic action to the big screen this july.

A fan zone will be set up at Coleraine Town Hall on Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 July, every day from 09:30 to 18:00.

Hannah will be competing in the Women’s Quadruple Sculls (partnered by Lauren Henry, Lola Anderson and Georgie Brayshaw) with the race heats on Saturday 27th July and the final on Wednesday 31st July. The GB boat are the top seeded team and they will face competition from China, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland and the USA.

Following in the footsteps of Olympic medallist Alan Campbell and brothers Richard and Peter Chambers, Hannah began rowing at Bann Rowing Club, one of the oldest and most successful rowing clubs in Ireland. She is currently the Women’s Quadruple World Champion.

The fan zone offers sports fans in the area the opportunity to come together, show their support and honour Hannah and all the other exceptional sporting heroes from around the world competing in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
