Manchester United have named a squad with a mix of experience and youth for their tour of the United States, including new signing Leny Yoro.

United have already played Rosenborg in Denmark and Rangers in Scotland this summer and will now fly to the US to play more friendlies.

After a stay in the United States, United play Arsenal in Los Angeles on July 28, followed by a match against Real Betis on August 1 in San Diego.

The US tour ends on August 3 in Colombia against arch-rivals Liverpool. The friendly will be played at the Williams-Brice Stadium of the University of South Carolina.

United were represented by senior players at the European Championships and Copa America. They have been given extra time to recover and have not been named in the tour squad, which applies to summer signing Joshua Zirkzee, who will join the team in August.

Andre Onana, Tom Heaton, Yoro, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Amad, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Scott McTominay, Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen are United’s senior players who will travel to the US.

McTominay, Hojlund and Eriksen have only recently returned to Carrington after failing to progress their countries through the group stages of Euro 2024, but have now been included.

Rashford was absent from last weekend’s friendly against Rangers through injury, but will fly to the States. Maguire, Lindelof and Antony were other notable absentees at Murrayfield, although all three players made the 30-man pre-season tour squad.

Lindelof, who has not yet featured in pre-season, has entered the final year of his contract and United are keen to sell him this summer to raise funds.

However, there is no place for Tyrell Malacia, who last played a competitive match in June last year and is still recovering from a serious knee injury.

13 youngsters have been named in the squad, including Ethan Wheatley, Harry Amass and James Scanlon, who all won a stunning treble with the Under-18s last season. Toby Collyer is also included after signing a contract extension earlier this month.
