Putin praises Uzbek president’s role in bilateral strategic cooperation

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday conveyed his best wishes to Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday in a congratulatory telegram published on the Kremlin’s website.

Putin praised Mirziyoyev for earning wide respect at home and abroad during his tenure as president. He acknowledged Uzbekistan’s significant achievements in social, economic and global spheres under Mirziyoyev’s leadership.

The Russian President emphasized Mirziyoyev’s personal contribution to promoting the strategic partnership and allied relations between Russia and Uzbekistan, in various areas of bilateral cooperation.

Putin reflected warmly on their recent productive talks in Tashkent and indicated that he would like to continue the constructive dialogue and joint efforts, in the mutual interest of the friendly peoples of both countries.

Putin concluded his message by wishing Mirziyoyev good health, happiness, prosperity and continued success in his endeavors.
