Olaf Freier will take on the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) in the management team of HINTE Expo & Conference GmbH from August 1.

His primary focus will be on expanding international business and developing new business areas. Specifically, the areas of Mobility and Geospatial will be the main focus for this seasoned trade show professional.

Born in Lower Saxony, Germany, Freier was most recently Portfolio Director at RX Global, where he was responsible for international events in the transportation and materials sector. As Global Brand Director, he contributed to the integration of Mack Brooks into Reed Germany.

The 57-year-old engineering graduate marks his return to HINTE, where he previously played a crucial role in the development of INTERGEO until 2015 as Managing Director. He was also instrumental in setting up projects in Switzerland, Turkey and other Eastern European countries.

“I am very excited about the challenging role of shaping our portfolio together with the existing team. In times of rapid market changes, trade fair and event formats have to evolve significantly,” said Freier about his future role. “With short decision-making processes and a high degree of adaptability, we work closely with our customers and partners to successfully position our events both nationally and internationally. Our goal is to provide creative solutions that offer real added value to the businesses of our existing and potential customers.”
