Late last year, it was announced that BLACKPINK had signed a new contract with YG Entertainment. The members’ contracts expired in August and there has been much speculation about the group’s future since then.

BLACKPINK’s most recent album was released in 2022. That same year, the K-pop group also visited the Netherlands with their world tour.
