Haiti – Chile 2025 U-20 World Cup Qualification: Our Grenadiers crushed by Mexico (4-0) (Video)

Sunday, July 21, 2024, on the grass field of the “Sergio León Chavez” stadium in Irapuato (Mexico), our Grenadiers had a difficult start in the opening match of the qualifying phase for the 2025 World Cup in Chile. Mexico, the best team in Group C, dominated the match for the most part and despite all efforts, our Grenadiers lost (4-0).

Haiti – Mexico lineup:
For the match against Mexico, Angelo Jean-Baptiste adopted much the same starting line-up as in the last two Test victories, with the exception of Ganaël Gay, who replaces his cousin All Branley, and Mandel François, who replaces Deryl Edmond.

In the first period, the Grenadiers, faced with the speed of the Mexicans, could not endanger their opponent and conceded a first goal in the 11th minute by Yael Padilla (1-0). The score was unchanged at half-time.

Coming back from the locker room, our Grenadiers were more enterprising, but faced with waves of attacks from the very aggressive Mexicans and despite all their efforts, our Grenadiers could not prevent a shot from Jurado Heriberto in the 72′ (2-0), followed 6 minutes later by another goal from Xavier Biscayzacu in the 78′ (3-0). Amaury Morales closed this match by scoring a 4th goal for Mexico in the 96′ (4-0).
