The $109 buy-in, $100,000 Mystery Bounty main event bee 888poker This weekend was a little different than usual thanks to the ChampionChip Games going on. Normally the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event lasts two days, but with the ChampionChip Games The Main Event champion will be crowned on July 23. 888poker has decided to make this week’s edition a one-day event.

Including re-entries, exactly 1,000 players competed, creating a guaranteed prize of $100,000. $50,000 was awarded to the top 180 finishers, with the remaining $50,000 divided into mystery bounties, including six worth $1,000, a pair worth $3,000, and a jackpot mystery bounty worth $10,000.

Everyone at the eight-player final table received at least a four-figure score for their efforts, with one lucky 888poker player taking home more than $16,000.

Ireland’s “8842m” was the first casualty of the final table; their eighth-place finish earned them a total of $1,205. “CoachKoka” was the next player to run out of chips, although they did collect one of the aforementioned $3,000 mystery bounties, so their total net income was an impressive $4,625.

Canadians “shak0135” ($2,060) and Swedes “tuxurious” ($3,100) were the next to be eliminated, before the eliminations of 888poker players “popsnpoker” ($3,085) and “LLudochka” ($5,225) sent the tournament into heads-up play.

Danish grinder “fjolledreng” defeated Lithuanian star “Love2win23” in the finals for a total prize of $9,965. However, the runner-up managed to secure the tournament’s biggest prize, a prize that tipped the scales at $16,270 by taking down the $10,000 jackpot mystery bounty before finishing in second place.
