Jonas Abrahamsen was in the breakaway for 20% of the 2024 Tour de France! List of most active riders

There are a few riders who have shown their aggressive racing style especially in the Tour de France. Two in particular, Jonas Abrahamsen and Richard Carapaz, won the hearts of the fans with three weeks of non-stop attacking and putting on a show in the race, and the Norwegian has officially spent more than 700 kilometers in the front of the race.

Abrahamsen, according to ProCyclingStats, spent 732 kilometers in the leading group of the Tour de France – of course, this only includes groups ahead of the peloton. The Norwegian was constantly on the attack throughout the race, in all stages. He was in the breakaway of the day seven times, including the first two days of the race. He briefly wore the green jersey as leader of the points classification, but wore the KOM jersey for about half the race. Considering that the Tour was 3,498 kilometers long (including time trials), he effectively spent more than 20% of the race in the leading group, or 1 in every 5 kilometers.


Richard Carapaz followed in second place, who had only begun his hunt for victories in the second week of the race but did enough to earn the super combative award. He also earned the KOM jersey and won a stage in Super-Dévoluy – the only day in the mountains not won by a GC rider.

Oier Lazkano, Valentin Madouas, Ben Healy, Tobias Johannessen, Quentin Pacher, Romain Grégoire, Cristián Rodríguez and Julien Bernard were among the riders who have served the longest in the Tour de France.
