Mainland Portugal and the Azores archipelago are at high risk of UV exposure until Thursday.

The archipelago of Madeira will have high water levels today and on Wednesday Funchal will be in extreme danger and Porto Santo will be in very high danger.

On Thursday, temperatures in Funchal will still be extremely high and Porto Santo will still be at high risk.

The ultraviolet radiation scale has five levels, from extreme to low risk.

For regions with extreme risk, IPMA advises to avoid exposure to the sun as much as possible.
