Tottenham consider signing Danish U21 international – Spurs told €30m needed for summer deal

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs in the picture to sign Patrick Dorgu from US Lecce this summer.

The 19-year-old made his debut for the Serie A side in August 2023 and finished the season with 34 appearances, with his performances not going unnoticed in both Italy and England.

That is according to Calcio Lecce, who state that the left back is attracting interest from top clubs in London, including Tottenham, while Napoli are also keen to sign him.

It is said that the Naples club made an initial offer, but that the amount was well below the 30 million euros requested by Lecce.

Tottenham have made a bid, probably with Lecce, for the full-back. The North London club and other interested parties have already heard that the Italian club need around €30 million to sell the Danish U21 international.

In addition to Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea have also shown interest in the player, with the Blues the latest to be added to the list. It is said that Lecce sporting director Pantaleo Corvino is waiting for an official offer from Enzo Maresca.

Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies were Spurs’ left-backs last season. The 31-year-old Welshman’s deal runs until 2025 and Dorgu could be his long-term successor at the club.
