GKN Aerospace today announced the extension of its agreement with Airbus for the continued production of all electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) for the entire A220 aircraft family. This multi-year contract extension confirms GKN Aerospace’s role as a key EWIS supplier to Airbus.

With GKN Aerospace now established as a long-term supplier to Airbus for EWIS on the A220, A320 and A320neo aircraft, GKN Aerospace’s extended agreement highlights the company’s expertise and reliability in delivering advanced electrical wiring solutions. The continued production of the A220 EWIS is supported by existing GKN Aerospace teams in the Netherlands, China and Turkey. In addition, the extension supports the establishment of GKN Aerospace EWIS manufacturing in Mexico, ensuring seamless production and delivery and expanding GKN Aerospace’s global EWIS footprint.
