Trinidad and Tobago: The Twin Island Federation Police Service shared details of a theft case at a bookstore in Port of Spain. The police officer arrested a 33-year-old female suspect in connection with the case who was caught red-handed while committing the crime during the daytime on Saturday, July 20, at around 01:50 hours.

The suspected woman was arrested at the Port of Spain bookstore, where she stole books worth more than $2,000. Details, such as the name of the woman in her early thirties and her place of residence, are not being released by the police for the time being.

According to the information revealed in the Port of Spain theft case, the woman was detained by the police officers on duty who were patrolling the area. The incident where the woman stole books took place at the bookstore in the area along Henry Street in the capital of Trinidad and Tobago.

It is stated that the woman entered the bookstore as a normal customer, but suddenly she was noticed by the bookstore staff while she was engaged in suspicious activities. It turned out that the suspicious woman was stealing merchandise. The woman was carrying a bag in which she put all the stolen books.

However, the act of theft from the Port of Spain bookstore, as the lady was caught while trying to evade detection. Immediately after, the security guard of the bookstore went to inform the police officers about the criminal act. It was almost 1:50 am on the day that Sergeant Joseph was on patrol and was approached by the security guard.

Immediately, the officer on the scene took action and arrived at the bookstore together with the security guard. On the scene, the responding officer conducted the investigation and took notes of the situation. Immediately after, the suspect was also questioned by the officers, during which the woman admitted her offense.

The Port of Spain City Police officer on scene took over the case of theft from a bookstore and discovered that the book that was attempted to be stolen had a total value of $2,150.65. The suspect woman was immediately taken into custody and taken to the Port of Spain City Police headquarters. The case is now under investigation.
