Logitech Reports Carbon Reduction Progress in FY24 Impact Report

Company publishes FY24 Impact Report detailing environmental and social performance

LAUSANNE, Switzerland & SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Logitech International (SIX: LOGN) (Nasdaq: LOGI) today released its annual Fiscal Year 2024 Impact Report detailing the Company’s progress toward its sustainability ambition. The Company reports continued progress in reducing product carbon at scale through Designing for Sustainability (DfS) across its portfolio. In 2023, product-level changes resulted in a reduction of nearly 139,000 metric tons of CO2e about the company’s portfolio and activities, which is equivalent to orbiting the Earth approximately 13,000 times1 in an average petrol engine car.

“Logitech continues its impactful and groundbreaking sustainability efforts,” said Hanneke Faber, CEO of Logitech. “As we work to achieve our ambitious near-term goal of reducing Scope 3 emissions by 50% by 2030, we’ve reduced our carbon footprint (Scope 1 & 2) by 58% since 2019, and our value chain emissions (Scope 3) by 24% compared to 2021. Designing for sustainability and using renewable energy sources will be our path forward to further reducing our footprint.”

Designing for sustainability

Logitech uses the power of design to drive innovation and scale progress. Environmental and social impacts are carefully considered in every design decision, from the moment raw materials are sourced through the end of a product’s life. The company intentionally builds the reduction of a product’s carbon footprint into its design criteria across its portfolio. The FY24 Impact Report includes several products that achieved carbon reductions by implementing DfS, including the Wave Keys wireless keyboard with a 37% carbon footprint reduction compared to Gen 1 and Casa Pop-Up Desk with a 34% carbon footprint reduction compared to a do-nothing scenario.
