Romanian Dracula Film Festival opens entries for 2024 competition

Dracula Film Festival launched the short and feature film competitions on horror, sci-fi, thriller, supernatural, dark comedy, animation, experimental or cult films for the 12th edition. Brașov will host the 2024 edition between October 30 and November 3.

The Dracula Film Festival has four competitive sections: Dracula Trophy, a section for feature films, Little Dracula, a section for international short films, Vlădutz, a section for Romanian short films and Dracula Digital, a section for young amateurs, for short films made with mobile phones.

For the first three sections you can register here. For the Dracula Digital category you can register here until September 29th.

To be eligible to participate in the race, films must have been produced between 2022 and 2024 and must not have been shown in Romania.

Last year, more than 3,000 new productions from almost 100 countries participated in the competition for short and feature films.

“For this year’s edition, we expect the selection to be even richer and for the films presented in Brașov to really impress the audience, and for the event to premiere outside the competition,” said Ioan Big, Director of the Dracula Film Festival.

The official poster of the Dracula Film Festival for the 2024 edition was created by Fernando Dagnino (born July 24, 1973), a famous Spanish comic artist, writer and cartoonist born in Madrid.
