US OUTLOOK
The U.S. four, consisting of Nick Mead, Justin Best, Michael Grady and Liam Corrigan, were chosen at the USRowing selection camp to represent the United States in the men’s fours event at the Paris Olympics. All four rowers are returning for their second Olympics after racing together as a crew in 2023 and finishing in second place at the world championships. In Tokyo, Mead, Best and Corrigan raced in the M8+ and placed fourth. Grady raced in the M4- and placed fifth. In their only race this season, they won gold at the World Cup II in Lucerne and are expected to compete for a medal in Paris.

MEDAL LEAKS
Three teams, Great Britain, the United States and New Zealand, seemed to have broken away from the rest of the peloton and are the three teams most likely to be on the podium in Paris. Italy, Australia, Romania and the Netherlands are the four teams most likely to fight for a place in the A-final, with a small chance of taking a medal from the favorites.
