The NBA world will be keeping a close eye on Team USA as the team heads toward the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

With an all-star cast including LeBron James and Stephen Curry, Team USA is seen as the heavy favorite to win the gold medal, although they have shown some struggles during practice matches.

In their most recent match against South Sudan, Team USA trailed for most of the afternoon, but pulled ahead in the second half.

However, South Sudan almost pulled off an unlikely surprise in the final minutes when they narrowly missed a layup and putback.

While the Americans are happy with the win, it does show that they have to earn their victories in every match.

Their next game is against a strong German team and Tyrese Haliburton said via the official USA Basketball Twitter account that he is looking forward to the challenge.

“It’s a good competition, it’s a good run for us,” Haliburton said. “Now we’ve got Germany, who won the World Cup last year, so it’s going to be a really good challenge for us.”

Haliburton was on Team USA’s roster for the 2023 FIBA World Cup and saw first-hand how good Germany is.

Led by Dennis Schroder, Franz Wagner and Moritz Wagner, Germany has the NBA talent to rival Team USA on the court.

Although the Americans have a better team and selection for this match, it is difficult to exclude the German team, which has great chemistry and balance. So Team USA must prepare for another confrontation.
