The total number of tourists visiting Sri Lanka in the recent period, up to and including July 18, 2024, is a whopping 1,019,642.

According to the latest data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), 43,083 tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka in the first week of July, while the figure was 42,343 in the second week of the month.

Meanwhile, 23,967 arrivals were recorded during the first four days of the third week of July.

A total of 27,574 Indian tourists have visited Sri Lanka up to and including 18 July. This is 25.2% of all tourists and thus the highest percentage of all countries.

According to the SLTDA, significant numbers of tourists also came from the United Kingdom, China, Germany and the Netherlands.
