PTR Triumph rider Tom Booth-Amos has been ruled out of the Czech Republic round of the 2024 World Supersport Championship.

Booth-Amos was seventh in Race 1 on Saturday, but on lap three he went from 14th place into the gravel. He then recovered from 9th to 14th when the chequered flag fell, eventually climbing to 8th after Glen van Straalen was given a penalty.

However, on Sunday morning, the #69 was declared unfit for action due to “possible acute gastroenteritis”, according to a statement from WorldSBK, meaning he will not be able to take part in Race 2.

Booth-Amos is currently the highest placed Triumph rider in the championship in 13th place with 41 points. Jorge Navarro, who currently sits sixth in the championship, started the season in the WRP Triumph team, but since swapping rides with Lorenzo Baldassarri – Baldassarri took over Navarro’s Triumph ride, with Navarro moving to Baldassarri’s previous Orelac Ducati seat – he has become a podium contender, finishing fourth in Race 1 and third in Race 2 at last weekend’s UK Round at Donington.

WorldSSP Race 1 in Most was won by Adrian Huertas of Aruba.it Ducati, who took his seventh victory from eleven races, extending his championship lead to 37 points over Yari Montella of Barni Ducati, who finished fourth in Most Race 1.
