Your place at No. 10 is under threat from Springbok No. 937.

Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu showed his class again when he replaced Libbok in the 44th minute during the one-off test match against Portugal in Bloemfontein last weekend.

The 22-year-old produced 36 minutes of performance that Springbok fans have not seen from their regular flyhalves for months.

In those 36 minutes, Feinberg-Mngomezulu provided two assists, beat two defenders and had a perfect goalscoring record.

And while Feinberg-Mngomezulu has been hailed as a prodigy, a true professional and a huge talent, it is clear that Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has some tough decisions to make when assembling the tour squad for Australia.

The team will be announced on Tuesday.

Experts claim the young flyhalf has given a masterclass in Bloemfontein and is the future of the Bok.

Unfortunately, Libbok, the regular flyhalf who started the match, again struggled with his goal kicks – missing three out of five.

It’s a burden he carries with him throughout his career.

During the press conference after the match, Erasmus was asked what could be done to improve Libbok’s problems with his kicking technique.

He looked frustrated as he wiped his forehead, before answering honestly.

“I’m not a kicking coach,” Erasmus said, adding: “Tony (Brown) is trying to help him.

“I think if you talk to Naas Botha, there was a time when he was going through a dip and he (Libbok) is going through a dip.

“But his overall game is still good.

“So it is a difficult issue to deal with,” Erasmus admitted.

“And then Sacha comes along and he throws everything, he makes good passes and he creates tries.

“I think there is quite a bit of pressure on all the number 10s: Handre (Pollard), Manie (Libbok) and Gaza (Damian Willemse).

“There are some new guys on the team who are doing things (creating pressure).

“But no, I cannot help his kicks,” said Erasmus, shaking his head.
