Flying Eagles striker Emmanuel Umeh made his FC Zurich debut with a goal on the opening day of the Super League season in Switzerland.

Umeh, who played in last year’s Under-20 World Cup in Argentina, came on as a substitute and scored in his first official match for the Swiss since his transfer from Bulgaria.

FC Zurich won 2-0 at Yverdon-Sport.

It is a complete turnaround for FC Zurich after losing 3-0 to the same team twice last year.

Former CHAN Eagles star Ifeanyi Matthew also played for FC Zurich.
