What channel is F1 Hungarian Grand Prix on today? TV schedule, start time for 2024 race

After a short break following the exciting British Grand Prix, Formula 1 returns with the 13th race of the season. The Hungarian Grand Prix will be held at the Hungaroring in Mogyorod and will mark the start of the second half of the 2024 season.

In a few hours, the lights will go out at the Hungaroring as defending champion Max Verstappen, who has won the last three races here, tries to get back on track after consecutive narrow defeats in Austria and Great Britain respectively.

Two Britons have won the last two races. George Russell won at the Red Bull Ring in Austria after a collision between fellow countryman Lando Norris and Verstappen as the race neared its climax. Lewis Hamilton claimed a record ninth British Grand Prix title and his first overall victory since the 2021 season.

With Russell and Hamilton both securing their first race wins of the 2024 season, Mercedes looks set to be the team to beat heading into today’s meeting at the Hungaroring. Verstappen still holds an 84-point lead at the top of the World Drivers’ Championship and expects he, Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, and McLaren’s Norris and Oscar Piastri to all battle it out for the top of the podium.
