Hyundai’s ‘Australia Only’ Hot Hatch – Torquecafe.com

Hyundai i30 N from 2024

This may be the closest we’ll get to an ‘Australian car’ in 2024. The updated Hyundai i30 N hot hatch has been revealed ahead of its official launch in August and Torquecafé understands it will be exclusive to the Australian market.

Although the i30 N hatchback is still built at Hyundai’s factory in the Czech Republic, it is no longer offered in other markets, including Europe and South Korea. Despite the smaller market, Hyundai has invested in several notable upgrades for this updated model.

Hyundai Motor Company Australia CEO Ted Lee said the updates, which are likely to be the last for the older hatchback, are important to keep it fresh.

“These major updates are about improving the Hyundai i30 N formula, without changing the fundamentals,” Lee explains.

“While the i30 N has always been focused on maximising performance and fun, these enhancements focus on delivering important safety and technology updates, adding to the versatile character of this accessible and exciting performance vehicle.”
