Haaland’s father forces his son to chop wood and transform into a Viking warrior

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has undergone intensive training under his father, including chopping wood and walking through the woods like a Viking, in preparation for the new season.

Erling Haaland is working hard to prepare for the upcoming Premier League season. After a long break due to Norway’s failure to qualify for Euro 2024, Haaland has embarked on a special training regime under the guidance of his father, former player Alf-Inge Haaland.

The training program is designed to build Haaland’s strength and fitness and includes traditional activities such as chopping wood in the mountains and hiking in the woods, reminiscent of Sylvester Stallone’s famous training scene in the film “Rocky IV.”

In a video shared on Manchester City’s social media page, Haaland revealed: “My father forced me, I had no other choice“.

The fan community’s response to this unique training method has been very positive, with many saying that these are ‘normal Viking activities’ and that Haaland is ‘a different breed’.

Haaland’s training regimen isn’t just about physical strength, though. He also meditates by the river, finding a balance between physical strength and mental calm.

Haaland had a memorable season at Manchester City, scoring 38 goals and providing 6 assists in 45 games. While this is a decrease from the previous season (52 goals and 9 assists), it is still a remarkable achievement.

Haaland’s intensive training this summer shows he is determined to maintain and even improve his form.

Manchester City are pinning their hopes on the unique training method, hoping it will help Haaland reach his peak form when the new season begins. The Citizens are preparing for a pre-season tour of the United States, with key friendlies against Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea.

Haaland returned to first-team training earlier this week, along with other players who were not on international duty. He shared photos from the flight to the US with team-mate Jack Grealish, which showed his enthusiasm and readiness for the new challenge.

The US tour is an important opportunity for Haaland and his teammates to prepare for the new season, especially for the Community Shield match against Manchester United at Wembley in early August.
