Leny Yoro makes his debut for Manchester United against Rangers after being included in the squad for the match against the Scottish giants.

The Red Devils confirmed the arrival of the highly-rated defender from French side Lille on Thursday in a deal believed to be worth £58.9million. Yoro had his first training session with his new team-mates on Friday and could make his first appearance for United less than 48 hours after he was announced as their second summer signing after travelling to Edinburgh as part of a 26-man squad for the match at Murrayfield.

Jadon Sancho, who has not played for United since a match against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on August 26 last year, is also included. The winger was axed by United manager Erik ten Hag in September last year after a public row in which he accused the Dutchman of lying in a social media post. He was subsequently loaned to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the season in January.

But after talks with the club management and Ten Hag, the England international is back and available, and he wants to make his mark.

Goalkeeper André Onana and winger Amad are also part of the selection, despite not playing in Monday’s 1-0 defeat to Rosenborg in Norway.

However, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Antony are absent again. Marcus Rashford is also left out, despite starting in the defeat in Trondheim. United have cited a ‘small problem’ as the reason for his absence.

Meanwhile, Scott McTominay is said to be ‘building up his sharpness’ after returning to Carrington on Wednesday following his spell at the European Championship with Scotland.
