Fesh Fesh will field FF7 at the 2025 Dakar Rally

Fresh Fresh will deploy a brand new Tatra truck for Tomas Vratny at the Dakar Rally 2025. Baptized the FF7was unveiled last weekend at Colours of Ostrava and will race in Poland in the summer before heading to the Rally of Morocco in October.

Vrátný finished ninth in the Truck category at his most recent Dakar in 2023, driving a Tatra Jamal Evo I. It was his seventh start and only his second since 2022 after a five-year absence, with his career best being 14th in 2015. He did not run the 2024 rally, although Fesh Fesh entered a Tatra for Vaidotas Paskevicius (retired) and a Ford Cargo for Albert Llovera (seventeenth).

“We are preparing a new race truck for the next Dakar Rally,” began Vratny. “It’s a completely new generation of racing technology. Big thanks to the guys from the Fesh Fesh team for finishing it in time for this important event. We chose to debut it at Colours because we are a team from Ostrava and this festival is one of the most important events in the city and the whole region.

“After the festival, we will continue with intensive preparations. We have to test the truck, prepare software for the engine and transmission, fine-tune the suspension and much more. In August, we have races in Poland, in October we go to Morocco and on January 3, 2025, we start the famous Dakar Rally, which will be held in Saudi Arabia again next year.”

Czech President Petr Pavel visited the festival and ‘blessed’ the truck by spraying it with champagne. The team also unveiled the Husqvarna 450 Rally that stunt driver Adam Peschel will make his Dakar debut.

The Rallye du Maroc is scheduled for October 6-11, while the 2025 Dakar Rally runs from January 3-17. Vrátný won a stage and came third in the 2023 edition of the former.
