Canada defeats Finland 82-44 to reach U17 World Cup semifinals

Agot Akol Makeer led Canada with 15 points. She shot 6 of 8 field goals and 3 of 5 free throws. Jahda Denis and Deniya Prawl each had 14 points for Canada, which led by 24-15, 37-24 and 55-33 at quarter time.

Yohana Fami scored 11 points and Savannah Swords added eight for the winners.

Ada Luukkanen and Tiia Talonen each scored 11 points for Finland.

Canada led in most key areas: 62-48 in rebounds, 25-14 offensive rebounds, 37-34 defensive rebounds, 20-9 steals and 3-2 in blocks.
