AKIPRESS.COM – President Sadyr Dzhaparov visited the carpet factory in Khiva as part of his state visit to Uzbekistan.

The Khiva Gilamlari carpet factory was founded in 1973 and renovated and modernized in 2020.

The $24 million factory produces 4.2 million square meters of carpets and rugs annually, which are exported to the United States, China and CIS countries.

The factory has the most modern equipment from Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and Turkey. 750 people work in the factory.
