Crime – A 61-year-old is suspected of murdering his son

A 61 year old man from Dessau-Roßlau is suspected of murdering his 33-year-old son. The man had come to the police station in Dessau-Roßlau on Thursday morning and confessed to murdering his son the night before, police reported.

The officers went to the man’s apartment in the Roßlau district – the alleged crime scene – and found the dead son there. The father was temporarily taken into custody. The Public Prosecutor’s Office and Police are currently investigating the 61-year-old.

It is currently believed that the father and son had a fight on Wednesday night. The 61-year-old is suspected of killing the 33-year-old – the circumstances were initially unclear. A pre-trial detention judge today ordered pre-trial detention for the Kazakh man.

The suspected crime took place in the city of Dessau-Roßlau, located in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. The high crime rate in the region has led to increased vigilance by local authorities and law enforcement agencies, including the police in Dessau-Roßlau.
