Emeren sells 42 MWp solar portfolio in Spain to CVE

Emeren Group Ltd, a global developer and operator of solar projects, has announced the sale of a portfolio of solar projects in Spain to CVE España, a subsidiary of French independent power producer CVE. This portfolio includes eight projects that Emeren has developed since 2021, ranging in size from 5 MW to 6 MW.

42 MWp solar energy portfolio in Spain

The projects are located in the regions of Castilla-y-León, Comunidad Valenciana and Andalucia. Together they will generate approximately 92,792,936 MWh per year, covering the energy needs of 28,360 households. One of the projects has already been closed and the others will follow in the third quarter, all classified as ready-to-build (RTB).

Partnership strategy

Yumin Liu, CEO of Emeren Group, said: “We are pleased to partner with CVE Group on this portfolio of eight solar power plants. This marks an important milestone for our business in Spain and reinforces our commitment to expanding our solar portfolio.”
Pierre de Froidefond, Managing Partner of CVE, added: “This transaction accelerates our development in Spain, allowing us to triple our installed capacity to 65 MWp by the end of 2025. This will allow us to better meet the needs of industrial consumers in Spain.”
