Uzbek citizens face difficulties entering Russia

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow has sent an appeal to the Russian Foreign Ministry over the difficulties faced by Uzbeks in accessing Russian territory.

“Recently, there has been an increase in the number of calls to the call center of the Uzbek Embassy in the Russian Federation by citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan reporting difficulties entering Russia or traveling through Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport,” said the diplomatic mission. in a statement.

They noted that citizens of Uzbekistan face “additional and excessively lengthy checks by the relevant airport services.”

To clarify the circumstances, the embassy has sent an appeal to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the same time, the consular department of the embassy is in constant contact with the border control service of Sheremetyevo Airport.
