The 21-year-old scored for the second game in a row to help Julian Nagelsmann’s side beat Hungary 2-0 on Wednesday evening, Eurosport reports.

After clinching the man-of-the-match award against Scotland on the eve of the tournament, Musiala continued to excel, this time at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart.

He opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, despite protests from the Hungarian players who felt a foul should have been called in the build-up to his goal.

Nevertheless, Ilkay Gundogan added a second goal in the 67th minute, ensuring Germany’s smooth path to victory and guaranteeing their progression to the knockout stages, at least as one of the top third-placed teams.
