Scotland remained tied at 1-1 with Switzerland

Scotland drew 1-1 against Switzerland in the Group A match of EURO 2024 on Wednesday.

The Scottish side broke the deadlock with a close-range kick from Scott McTominay in the 13th minute at the Cologne Stadium in Germany.

In the 26th minute, Xherdan Shaqiri scored a long-range strike to draw Switzerland level with Scotland.

Dan Ndoye scored for the Swiss side in the 33rd minute, but this was disallowed by the video assistant referee (VAR) for offside.

Swiss Breel Embolo scored a goal in the 82nd minute, but that was also ruled offside.

Earlier on Wednesday, Germany increased their points tally to six after beating Hungary 2-0 in Group A.

Switzerland is second with four points, Scotland is third with one point and Hungary is at the bottom of the group without a single point.
