Denmark vs England, Euro 2024: Predicted lineups of DEN v ENG, expected formations

If England temper high expectations as Euro 2024 favorites with a nervy and unconvincing 1-0 win over Serbia, the Three Lions will hope to make a stronger statement when they clash with Denmark on Thursday and build on their Group lead c.

Marauding midfielder Jude Bellingham’s brilliant first half was the only bright spot in a tournament opener that likely sent Gareth Southgate back to the drawing board as he continued to figure out how to make all his talented pieces fit.

Denmark can take revenge on England, who won 2-1 in the semi-finals of the 2020 European Championship.

The Danes drew 1-1 against Slovenia in their opener on Saturday, an afternoon full of emotions on the return to the European Championship of midfielder Christian Eriksen. Three years after suffering cardiac arrest during the last tournament, Eriksen scored the Danes’ only goal.

England were lucky to open the tournament with a win, but it didn’t quite feel that way: they have the chance to up the feel-good factor against Denmark.
